Moving through the mountains in a low impact style is important to preserve the hills for future generations. In addition, practicing these skills on smaller cliffs prepares one for this kind of climbing. Personally, applying these skills in the mountains is the way forward, though it usually involves a lot of unsuccessful attempts and long walks.
